“I watched the documentary twice! It is absolutely outstanding. It was very real and intimate and truthful! You should be applauded for your efforts in fighting this disease. I have already guided some people to your website to purchase the DVD. I really think it is the best I have ever seen. I am available to help you in any way I can! I would love to be a part of your crusade! Congratulations!“ Dotsie Cowden, member of the U.S. National bicycle squad of Team T-Mobile.
"Brave and compassionate ... powerfully captures the mindset of those suffering from eating disorders" -- Lori Gottlieb, author of STICK FIGURE: A DIARY OF MY FORMER SELF
“This film has done so much to help educate children to the very real dangers and consequences of eating disorders. It will make those who would wish to be anorexic for a "little while" think twice. My only regret is that a documentary like this wasn't available when my daughter was suffering with anorexia.“ Debbie Begeny, Founder/Executive Director Featherweight, Inc.
"This film is so important. Having recovered from bulimia myself and now doing advocacy work around disordered eating, I found it refreshing and honest. There was no sensationalizing, which is so common among eating disorders depicted in the film and media, and the interviews were from such a variety of people- that's real. They affect everybody. It's not just the 75lb woman who is sick; there are many other facets and behaviors involved and this film helps to un-stigmatize the myths. Bravo!" Lori Henry, Publisher/ Editor, Beauty Magazine
“The documentary is excellent. I plan to use it in teaching medical students and residents, also will probably share it with some of my adolescent patients. Please keep me informed of other educational tools which you may be producing, and thank you for your efforts to help those suffering from Eating Disorder's. Sincerely,“ Sarah Stender, MD, Adolescent Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences
“This video is an incredible educational tool for a major medical disease affecting so many young people in this country. Creating awareness of eating disorders is so critical to eliminating this deadly psychological disaster. Eating disorders truly ruin lives." Ronni Litz Julien, MS, RD/LDN
“Your documentary is WONDERFUL- honest, fresh and enlightening. Our daughter, who has struggled with an eating disorder for 8 years, has met many of the women featured in your film in various treatment centers. She is excited about their success – and thankful for your commitment to awareness and education. Your work will impact thousands!!! There are many treatment centers and philosophies out there, but there is nothing more courageous, precious or hopeful than a survivor who comes forward with her own story. We appreciate the individuals in the documentary who are honest and transparent about their own struggle. We celebrate success with each one of them! I look forward to helping in any way with this venture- and have passed the info on to many already.” Deb Munson
“This is SO great. I just think it's awesome that you did this. You rock and I am glad there are women like you out there being creative around the eating disorder issue. Much much love” Katie Rubin, Creator of “Insides Out” One Woman Show
“The
documentary is an important tool for combating what is daily becoming
a larger problem. It's a frightening statistic that eating disorders
are the number one cause of death among young women. Thanks and
kudos.”
Elizabeth
“I
just wanted to give you my input on your video! I am trying not to
let the disorder take over my life and it is so hard. I am grateful
that you told this story I wish more people would talk about binge
eaters and that there is hope for people like me and that we are not
alone. Thank you.” Jennifer
F.
“I
really liked it, particularly the young people with various eating
disorders. They were so interesting and authentic, really
illustrating effectively the devastating, but mysterious, aspects of
these disorders. Thank you for sharing your work with me.”
Malcolm

It
is very informative and well done. Congratulations. My daughter who
is 29 next week has hit the wall and is putting herself into a
Hospital in Oxnard call Rader. She spoke to them and feels it will be
what she needs. She is in a desperate state. Sharon Rose
“I
wanted to give you my family's feedback on the documentary. When I
first told my children about my eating disorder, my daughter (age 14)
was terrified because she had seen "Kate's Secret" in her
7th grade health class. I have never seen this film but was told by
my psychologist that he didn't think it was a good film to be showing
teenagers. After we watched the ABC's of Eating Disorders together, I
asked her "What was the difference between this film and the one
you saw in health class?" And she said "I liked this film
better because IT'S ABOUT REAL PEOPLE". Thanks again for
making this important documentary.” Michelle Locey
“I
watched the video this morning. First, it is extremely well done -
EXCELLENT JOB! The video demonstrated such diversity - gender, race,
etc which surprised me. The compulsive overeating section
really hit home. I was shocked by statistics that 50%
experience during lifetime. I loved the music and guitar
playing. Overall I found the video educational, interesting and it
really touched me - I cried twice. Thanks for sharing.”
Audrey G.
“I loved the video!! I watched it last
night... Really really good...” Suzy Buckley
“I
really, really loved it. I am truly amazed. You are going to make a
big impact with this. I will do whatever I can to help. Thank
you again.” Anya Ellerbrook
“I just received the documentary yesterday. It is very well done. For once, we see people like me , recovering, not still very thin, and how hard it is everyday even though we behave 'normally'. I've had anorexia and bulimia for 15 years now. In and out of treatment, each time I think I have won my battle against Anorexia. I have lost a lot, but I also have gained a lot. It is a school of life. The ABC's of Eating Disorders will help people like me, people who are still very sick and the health care community to understand more the reality and difficulties of these very hard illness. I will spread it to my support people and group. Thank you so very much!” Renee Ruest, from NB Canada
