Miami filmmaker on Miami's Global Connection TV Show series on female entrepreneurs.

Joanna Popper, the Producer of “The ABC”s of Eating Disorders” was interviewed on the new documentary and her thoughts on entrapreneurship

Miami, Florida-- August 1, 2005. Miami documentary filmmaker Joanna Popper was on Miami’s Global Connection Television show on Cabletap on August 1st. She was interviewed about “The ABC’s of Eating Disorders”, a documentary film on eating disorders she is making with Miami filmmaker Arne Zimmermann and Zakto Film Productions. Eating disorders are epidemic in America.

Host Whitney Belker interviewed four female entrepreneurs on their businesses. Other guests included Marina Kessler, an art gallery owner, Daniela Swaebe, a jewelry designer, and Elisa Gaudet, a golf expert and golf tv show host. Joanna was asked about balancing different careers and how she chose to make the educational documentary on eating disorders.

The documentary was made to increase awareness on eating disorders, let people know they’re not alone, and encourage people to seek treatment. In the piece, anorexics, bulimics, and compulsive overeaters of all ages, ethnic groups, races and genders share their intimate experiences. In addition to stories of people with eating disorders, health professionals from treatment centers the Renfrew Center and Milestones in Recovery are interviewed on the facts on the disease, symptoms, causes and recovery.
